Allgäuer-schwäbisch-pfälzisch-shanghaische interkultur-Kooperative (aspsiK) established in December 2009 after a few circumstances of meetings of artists and creatives that had explosions of ideas in this constellation. It quickly crystalized that there would be a effective development in this existing group. As often people meet and part, this time, it seems important to merge together. Individual work is the fuel, creative exchange can be the motor to move the wheels towards combined projects.
Let's exchange ideas for a wider view of interest, to grow stronger and wiser and also because it is fun. But most importantly: it is to set a point of a liberal body of artistic work that isn't the subordinate of commanding organization and institutions. Regional German arias (allgäuer-schwäbisch-pfälzisch) symbolize the origin, even traditional aspects that can be filtered, used and worked with for creative outcome. As much as Shanghai, that stands for the international world, values that travel over borders, and cultural exchange.
The EXPO 2017 is planned in the heart of Europe in the region Allgäu in Bavaria. This first prestige project by (aspsiK) attracts this exact philosophy. It combines art, architecture, design, music and more into an extensive exhibition. In the year of the Shanghai 2010 world expo (better city better life) it seems just natural to move this economic event that uses art as a pretext to EXPO 2017 (better art better life).
