Around town in sunny Shanghai today - me and my all beloved Expo 2017 sticker. Finding out that a bunch of buildings came down next to stage候台BACK and that a stage候台BACK artist turned into a cover star!

was a question of time. I have seen it in other places. First the artists, then the galleries, then the vintage shops, then the regular shops and then the restos and bars....then then then....5000 $ rent / month....+++ But since 696 already has a bar and also a cooking school and funky wedding companies, Lolo Love Vintage is a perfect addition on the dark second floor in building 11. The quality of the clothes and accessories is very good. And it is its first of a kind in Shanghai. Unbelievable! Well, they can count to have me shop before events at stageBACK!

Allgäuer-schwäbisch-pfälzisch-shanghaische interkultur-Kooperative (aspsiK) established in December 2009 after a few circumstances of meetings of artists and creatives that had explosions of ideas in this constellation. It quickly crystalized that there would be a effective development in this existing group. As often people meet and part, this time, it seems important to merge together. Individual work is the fuel, creative exchange can be the motor to move the wheels towards combined projects.
Let's exchange ideas for a wider view of interest, to grow stronger and wiser and also because it is fun. But most importantly: it is to set a point of a liberal body of artistic work that isn't the subordinate of commanding organization and institutions. Regional German arias (allgäuer-schwäbisch-pfälzisch) symbolize the origin, even traditional aspects that can be filtered, used and worked with for creative outcome. As much as Shanghai, that stands for the international world, values that travel over borders, and cultural exchange.
The EXPO 2017 is planned in the heart of Europe in the region Allgäu in Bavaria. This first prestige project by (aspsiK) attracts this exact philosophy. It combines art, architecture, design, music and more into an extensive exhibition. In the year of the Shanghai 2010 world expo (better city better life) it seems just natural to move this economic event that uses art as a pretext to EXPO 2017 (better art better life).

To not upset anybody in Cologne again, I started a new series of work immediately - self portraits on "ECHT KÖLNISCH WASSER" perfume bottles. The opening date will be announced asap.

stage候台BACK is an art space for artists dedicated to experimental projects founded by German artist Susanne Junker in April 2008 in Shanghai, China. Her believe is grounded in cultural and intellectual exchange between the East and the West, which can offer new territories and outlooks for both sides. Reaching the status of difference in selection and presentation is one of the goals to achieve in China on many levels. stage候台BACK makes its first steps towards individuality in art and culture. stage候台BACK is operating as a non profit and non governmental institution.
画廊简介 2008年四月，德国艺术家 Susanne Junker 在中国上海创立stage候台BACK，这是她用一人之力开创给众多艺术家的艺术空间。 在近五年的时间里，Susanne一直在中国各地游历，亲睹了上海城市文化的兴起，并深刻地体会到中国艺术场所的快速发展。 她坚信中外文艺的交融会为东西方世界认知拓展更宽的领域，并带来新的前景。 没有更多的说教，我们更关注对知识的发现，同时努力推出惊奇的、甚至令人震撼的作品，以此激起观众的强烈反响。我们追求的目标之一，就是要实现选材和展示的多样化，让中国各阶层获得对艺术的理解。 stage候台BACK向文化与艺术的个性化迈出了第一步。 stage候台BACK愿意与来自国外和本土的不同流派的艺术家共同合作。stage候台BACK不仅可以为文化社团提供展示的场所，同时也可以为私人画廊创造交流的通道。 stage候台BACK 坐落于上海的中心“威海路696号新式地下艺术家的聚居区”，这里曾经是上世纪30年代加工海洛因的工厂，近代又成为了存储汽车配件的库房。威海路696号,不仅有近40个艺术画廊选址于此，还有更多新兴的画室定址这里。
